NC Boomers at Mid-LifeBy 2010, the oldest of the large baby boom generation will prepare to celebrate their 65th birthday. These boomers will be the first wave of more than 2 million North Carolinians born between 1946 and 1964, who today represent nearly a third of our state's population. For a look at how our state and county populations are projected to change between 1996 and 2020, click here. The North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services believes that it is essential for all citizens and all sectors of society to participate in a discussion of what the aging of North Carolina's boomers means for our future. We will use this web page as one important way to share information about related activities. The Division contact is Dennis Streets.
