Training for DHHS employees, supervisors,
and managers is provided through a number of resources.
Usually, qualified division or institution trainers provide
basic job skills training to DHHS staff. Other general skills,
computer classes and supervisory or management courses are offered
through other resources.
The following list will give you more information on training requirements and
resources available to our employees.

HR Training
HR staff interested in training or mentoring opportunities
should contact the individual DHHS HR section for information
about upcoming classes that are not listed on our 2010
Training Calendar.
Timekeeping Training
The Division of Human Resources, the Controller's Office,
the Office of Budget and Analysis, and the DHHS Payroll Office
have collaborated in developing department-wide timekeeping policy
and procedures. Standardizing the timekeeping achieves consistency
throughout the Department, simplifies the payroll process and is
a step towards an automated timekeeping system. This policy was
effective July 1, 2002 and all DHHS divisions/institutions should
be in compliance. Timekeepers, trained in numerous sessions throughout
the department, are available for questions. A timekeeping
training and guide for supervisors is now available for timekeepers
and supervisors who did not attend the classroom training.
