The NC Division
of MH/DD/SAS is developing an integrated payment and reporting
system (IPRS) to replace three existing systems for claims processing.
The IPRS is being built on the existing Medicaid management
information system (MMIS) currently processing Medicaid claims.
The IPRS will be used to track, pay and report on all claims
submitted by providers for services rendered. LME's
will submit a single claim to the state, and the IPRS will process
the claim from the appropriate funding source.
